GEAR THAT PROTECTS. QUALITY THAT ENDURES.
It’s more than a uniform. It’s a higher commitment to worker safety.
For over 135 years, Carhartt has engineered products that raise the bar for quality, durability and most importantly, safety. Our Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a testament to that commitment—built to safeguard crews in the most demanding industries while keeping them comfortable and productive. From high-visibility apparel that ensures crews stand out to flame-resistant gear for high-risk applications, Carhartt’s PPE solutions deliver the quality, durability, and safety that every job demands. By choosing Carhartt, you’re not just outfitting your team — you’re investing in safety, pride, professionalism, and performance.
HIGH-VIS KEEPS CREWS SEEN, SAFER, AND COMFORTABLE.
In high-risk environments, visibility saves lives. Whether your team is working on highways, in public spaces, or on construction sites, Carhartt's high-visibility workwear is engineered to meet and exceed ANSI/ISEA 107 safety standards. From Type R, Class 2 and 3, Carhartt provides the right gear for demanding conditions.
And that protection matters. In 2024, workers in transportation and material moving occupations represented the occupational group with the most fatalities with 1,391 fatal work injuries.1 With Carhartt high-visibility gear, you can help keep your crews safer by ensuring they’re always seen. Because safety starts with visibility.
A quick note on fit. Extra care should be taken that garments are worn properly to ensure maximum visibility. Proper fit is essential to meet industry requirements–vests and jackets should be kept closed on the front and sides to ensure 360-degree visibility.

CRITICAL FR PROTECTION FOR HIGH-RISK JOBS.
NFPA 2112 testing simulates real-world flash fire conditions using a 3-second exposure. That’s the critical window where protection matters most. Survival rates drop sharply beyond 50% body burn, which is why this threshold is the industry standard.
Choosing the right FR workwear can be a matter of life or death. As stipulated by NFPA 2112, flame-resistant clothing must protect against an industrial flash fire with less than 50% total predicted body burn injury during a 3-second, 2 cal/cm2 exposure.2 NFPA 70E requirements further help reduce exposure to major electrical hazards.3
While these standards establish essential benchmarks, compliance alone does not guarantee optimal protection. The purpose of FR garments is not only to meet minimum requirements, but to reduce burn injury severity, provide escape time, and improve the wearer's chance of survival. Performance can vary significantly between fabrics and garments, even when both meet the same standard.
The consequences of inadequate protection extend beyond immediate injury. According to the American Burn Association, a survivable burn injury can cost more than $700,000, and exceed $1 million as burn severity increases, highlighting the substantial human and financial risks associated with insufficient FR programs.
Carhartt's FR gear not only meets both NFPA 2112 and NFPA 70E standards, it delivers lightweight, breathable protection without sacrificing comfort or performance.

OUTFITTING YOUR BUSINESS FOR SAFETY, RETENTION, AND SUCCESS.
Investing in high-quality PPE delivers measurable value for both your people and your business. For employees, Carhartt uniforms help create a sense of appreciation and belonging. In fact, 84% of workers say they are likely to stay loyal to the company a year from now if given Carhartt, compared to 68% of workers who pay for their own workwear.4 It also reduces financial strain. Workers who receive company-supplied workwear estimate a personal annual savings of $514, with Carhartt wearers estimating savings of $572.
For employers, the impact extends further: branded PPE enhances professionalism and team unity while reinforcing your company's identity in the field; durable, well-constructed gear reduces replacement frequency and long-term costs; and providing reliable, comfortable protection strengthens recruitment and retention by meeting what today's workforce values most: safety, comfort, and support.
