Small loops and pockets
The 1st belt loop on each side is too small for my belts. The belts are normal work size and fit in every other work pant I have but do not fit on these pants. Also the pockets are too shallow to hold 2 work phones and when I sit in work van items will fall out of my pocket into the sit crack and that is the worst place to lose stuff every time you drive. They also do not offer black.

Perfect for your linemen!
These are my husband's favorite work pants, the only work pants he will wear. I found these on an ad, bought them so he could try and he loved them. My husband is a linemen and these pants last him a long time with no rips. Hes constantly moving and they are still in great condition. We have several pair. I highly recommend these pants for your linemen as well. They are perfect.

Either defective or poorly desinged batch.
I've worn these style of Carhartt pants for years. Then they wore out and its time to buy some more. Except these are either defective or Carhartt has changed the design. First the belt loops are undersized. The front two loops are sized down to 1.25 inches. Every other loop supports a 1.5 inch belt. These are in the 36/30 size range, made in Pakistan. Other major issue is the cargo pocket on the 36/30 is completely misaligned for each leg. On the left leg it overlays the knee, on the right its above the knee and diagonally stitched. I ordered a size 38/30 in addition to the 36/30. The 38/30 has the right belt loops (1.5 ") and both cargo pockets are in the right place and aligned on each leg. Also this pant was made in Nicaragua not Pakistan. is there a link? I modified the 36/30 by taking out the stitching a bit and resewing the belt loops. Can't do anything for the cargo pants. I don't know what happened to Carhartt but I will be finding a new company for my cargo pants from now on.

Known Defective Belt Loops + Customer Service That Ignores Its Own Warnings
1-Star Review: Carhartt Relaxed Straight Force Ripstop Cargo Pant (105296) - Known Defective Belt Loops + Customer Service That Ignores Its Own Warnings Carhartt sells these as men's working pants that should take a standard 1.5" work belt. They do not. The front two belt loops are absurdly undersized because of the "utility loops at front" design. Every other loop is normal and functional. The two that actually matter for a real belt are so tight a standard 1.5" belt barely scrapes through once - if it goes through at all - and there is zero chance of tucking the tail. Multiple other buyers have reported the exact same problem. This is not a one-off sewing error. I contacted customer service when I ordered replacements, gave the original order number, and told them Jason had already classified the first pair as a known defective product. The agent disregarded it. The replacements arrived with the identical defect. So now I have multiple pairs of pants that cannot do the most basic job a work pant is supposed to do: hold a belt. I have to return everything and start over while they "investigate" a problem they already knew about. If these pants are only intended for a thin 1"-1.25" dress belt, say so in the product description. Do not market them as work pants and then ship the same defective design twice after a customer explicitly flags it. Carhartt used to stand for gear that works. This experience is the opposite: a design flaw they already documented internally, followed by customer service that treats the warning like it never happened. Avoid this specific model unless you enjoy fighting your own belt every morning.

Glad I found these again.
I love these pants, I first discovered them when I had to be issued civilian clothes to blend in during a deployment to desert. I love how well they held up and how breathable they were in the extreme temperatures that we were in. I literally wore these pants till they began to fall into disrepair. I have now began my entrepreneurial journey into operation of my own excavation business and knew I needed something durable and breathable again so I bought a few more pairs. I wish I would have stepped down a size in the length as I though my previous pairs had shrank lengthwise more than these have but other than that I love these things.
