How to Measure

CHEST:

Measure just under arms and across shoulder blades holding the tape firm and level. If your chest falls between sizes, order the next size up.

NATURAL WAIST:

Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Note: It may not be the smallest point.

HIPS:

Measure the fullest point between your natural waist and crotch.

Note: For best results measure over your undergarments. Use a cloth measuring tape.

Fits

Relaxed Fit: relaxed through hip and thigh; tapered leg.

Loose Fit: full through hip and thigh; wide leg.

The fit changed

These are my go to work pants, I usually order a couple every year. I was disappointed to find out they changed the fit. Legs are much straighter than they were previous years. They used to taper nicely past the knee. These feel like MC Hammer pants. I ordered 36x30 but the length was more like 32. I returned my whole order.

Too much elastic.

Honestly, I am getting frustrated and disappointed with Carhartt. I used to love a few different models of their pants, but it seems they are putting way too much elastic in the waistband of all of them now. Across all of their pants, the fit is great through the thighs and seat, but the waistband is terrible. It makes the pant want to fall off of you all the time.

Serviceable but not heavyweight workwear.

I was surprised that the weight of the fabric was much lighter than what I was expecting. Also am not a fan of the pleats, or tucks around the knees. I will be looking for a heavier weight fabric from either a vintage pair or another manufacturer. I will not return them since they will suffice, and it's just another case of buyer beware.

The pants look good. No complaints about the pants really. I wear a 36 waist and I have other carhartt pants that are 36 and they fit perfect. These fit more like a 39 waist. I have a hard time keeping them up.
